Hampton Roads, Va. (Nov. 14, 2019) – Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia (SSSEVA) is proud to announce that it will be participating in the 2019 Subaru Share the Love Event, as a member of Meals on Wheels America – one of four national Share the Love charitable partners supported through the campaign. From November 14, 2019, through January 2, 2020, Subaru of America will donate $250 for every new Subaru vehicle purchased or leased to the customer's choice of participating charities.

Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia (SSSEVA) announces that the Health Empowerment Program has been honored with a 2019 Aging Innovations Award by the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (n4a). The awards program is supported by WellCare Health Plans. The Health Empowerment Programwas among 16 local aging programs from across the country to receive an innovation award at the n4a Annual Conference & Tradeshow held July 27-31 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Senior Services’ Medicare benefits counselors will hold information and assistance events throughout Western Tidewater in September 2019 to assist Medicare-eligible individuals navigating Medicare and Medicare Part D. Assistance will also be available for those who are currently enrolled and may be eligible for the Part D Low-Income Subsidy “Extra Help” benefit.
