Silver Surfers began as a collaborative effort to offset the risks of social isolation by helping older adults learn to use technology. Senior Services, PrimePlus Senior Centers, Westminster-Canterbury Senior Living Community, Eastern Virginia Medical School, and the Birdsong Foundation joined forces to create the HealthWise Connectivity Project.
Now called Silver Surfers, the program’s goal is the same, and Senior Services continues to help seniors get connected across South Hampton Roads and Western Tidewater.
